Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card basic deck and one joker. The player is given seven cards face up and the dealer is dealt seven cards face down.
A five card hand and a 2 card hand need to be made from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be better than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be higher than the casino’s.
