Web poker has become globally famous recently, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years many variants on the original poker game have been created, including some games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with twenty-one than traditional poker, in that the gamblers bet against the dealer rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little conniving or different types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the dealer saying "No further wagers." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course every one of the other players are given five cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you must in turn make a call bet or bow out. The call bet’s value is equal to your original ante, which means that the stakes will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your wager goes instantly to the dealer. After the bet comes the conclusion. If the bank does not have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, plus a sum in accordance with the original bet. If the house has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The casino pays out chips equal to your ante and set odds on your call wager. These expectations are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
